Steak & Veggie Kabobs

Enjoy a succulent and tasty dinner made with juicy pieces of steak and fresh, crisp veggies with this Steak & Veggie Kabob recipe. A fun way to get your kids to eat healthy — have fun!


2 8 oz. top sirloin grilling steaks
½ cup red pepper
½ cup green pepper
1 small onion
1 tsp. grated lime or lemon rind
2 tbsp. lime or lemon juice
4 tsp. olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced
½ jalapeno pepper, minced
1 tsp. homemade chili powder
2 tsp. dried rosemary
½ tsp. ground cumin
¼ tsp. salt substitute (optional)
¼ tsp. pepper


1. Cut steak and red and green peppers into 1-inch (2. 5 cm) pieces.

2. In a bowl, combine lime rind and juice, oil, garlic, jalapeno, homemade chili powder, cumin, rosemary, salt substitute, and pepper.

3. Add beef and toss to coat; let stand for 10 minutes.

4. Alternate pieces of beef, red and green peppers, and onion onto 8 skewers.

5. BBQ on an oiled grill over medium-high heat to desired doneness, turning once.
