Homemade Hummus

This Homemade Hummus Recipe is the perfect alternative to store-bought hummus, because it's smooth, creamy, flavourful, & made with love — enjoy!


30 oz. (2 cans) chickpeas
1 cup tahini
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup olive oil
4 tbsp. garlic, minced

1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
Parsley, chopped for garnish


1. Rinse and strain chickpeas.

2. Then add chickpeas and all other ingredients to a blender.

3. Blend ingredients together until smooth.

4. Once smooth, pour the hummus into a bowl, sprinkle with parsley, serve, and enjoy!


Add water to the blender as you mix the ingredients if you're looking for a runnier humus! And, if you serve your hummus with a drizzle of olive oil on top, add 1 Fat allotment per every 1 teaspoon of oil per serving.
