Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes & Beets

This Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes & Beets recipe makes a great side dish to accompany any Holiday Dinner, as the sweetness of the maple syrup make the natural flavours of the potatoes and beets pop — enjoy!


4½ cups sweet potato, peeled & chopped
3 cups beets, peeled & chopped
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tbsp. olive oil

1 tbsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper


1. Preheat oven to 425ᵒF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Add the sweet potatoes, beets, maple syrup, olive oil, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to a large bowl and mix together.

3. Once evenly mixed, lay the sweet potatoes and beets on the baking sheet in a single layer.

4. Once the oven is hot, place the baking sheet in the oven and cook for 40 to 45 minutes, flipping the sweet potatoes and beets half way through.

5. Once cooked, serve them as a side to your favourite holiday meal or any other dish that could use a little sweetness!
