Jalapeno Bean Burgers

If you're craving a barbecue burger without the meat, try this recipe for Jalapeno Bean Burgers, it is delicious and filling — enjoy!


1 can (16 oz / 480 g) kidney beans, drained & rinsed
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
1 jalapeno chili, seeded & chopped

1 garlic clove, finely minced
1⁄4 cup (50 ml) BBQ sauce
1⁄3 cup (75 ml / 36 g) bread crumbs
Non-fat cooking spray


1. In a bowl, mash beans with a fork. Add first 5 ingredients.

2. Slowly add bread crumbs and form into 4 patties.

3. Grill in a skillet coated with non-fat cooking spray until heated through.

4. Serve with barbecue sauce and/or your favorite veggie toppings.
