This healthy and delicious garlic bruschetta has only 6 ingredients, and functions as a tasty appetizer option for gatherings — let's try it out!
1 regular pita, 6 ½ inches (whole wheat recommended) 4 tsp olive oil 1 garlic clove, minced 1 cup tomato, diced
¼ cup fresh basil, shredded Black pepper to taste Sodium-free Italian seasoning to taste (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Cut pita into triangles. 2. Brush with two teaspoons of olive oil and half the garlic. 3. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden grown. 4. Mix tomato, remaining olive oil, garlic, basil, pepper, and optional Italian seasoning. 5. Spoon onto warm pita triangles.
Use a whole wheat pita with more fiber to help you stay full longer.
