1 fruit, 1 dairy, ½ starch, ½ fat

Craving something delicious and light? Parfaits make for a great breakfast or an early morning snack.


  • ½ cup strawberries, diced
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 6 oz or ¾ cup vanilla nonfat yogurt
  • ½ cup high-fiber cereal
  • 5 almonds, crushed
  • 1 packet sugar substitute


Fold ¼ cup diced strawberries into yogurt. In a bowl, toss all remaining strawberries with crushed almonds. In parfait glass, layer the ½ the yogurt mix, the strawberries, the blueberries, and then the cereal. Top with remaining yogurt mix. Serve chilled.
